Climate Pandemic

Article published in Ciência Hoje Magazine, issue no. 371, on November 13, 2020, and also included in the book Climate Emergency, which brings together ten articles from Ciência Hoje addressing major challenges related to climate change.

Organized by Carla Madureira Cruz, the book presents different scientific perspectives and includes contributions from researchers such as Carlos Nobre and Suzana Kahn, discussing climate risks and sustainable development.

University Outreach Activities

Extension Course in Astrobiology

A collaborative initiative between the State University of Londrina (UEL) and the Londrina Astronomy Study and Outreach Group (GEDAL), supported by AstroNova Magazine, the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, and the Brazilian Society of Astrobiology.

Exhibition – Cultures and Microcosms: From the Laboratory to the Classroom – A Petri Dish Exhibition

Exhibition held in the entrance hall of the UFSC Central Library, presenting microbial cultures as a tool for scientific communication and education.

 

 


UFSC in the Square 2019

The event, held in the sidewalks surrounding the Metropolitan Cathedral of Florianópolis, brought together professors, students, and the community. Its objective was to showcase teaching and outreach activities developed by UFSC.

 


16th National Science and Technology Week

Held in 2019, the event had the theme:

“Bioeconomy: Wealth and Biodiversity for Sustainable Development.”

The program included workshops, discussion groups, exhibitions, and other scientific outreach activities at the São José Botanical Garden.
